The Ninja Creami is so hot right now, and for good reason! I got one for Christmas ’23 and I have no regrets. I’ve made guitless treats for myself, and learned how to create a Pistachio flavored protein treat for my dad. His birthday was in January, so I made him a treat he actually liked the taste of and better yet, fit his diet!

All of the best creamis I’ve made consist of just 2 ingreditents: Fairlife milk and Clean Simple Eats protein powder. Since Clean Simple Eats doesn’t have a pistachio flavor, I had to improvise. My dad loves whole milk, so we started with that as the base, added vital proteins for a bit more protein, and then the flavor of pistachio came from the zero sugar pudding mix. Top it off (literally) with real chopped pistachios! You can either sprinkle them on top, or use the mix in setting to swirl them throughout the creami.

I’ve linked the regular sized Ninja Creami (16 oz container) and the Deluxe Ninja Creami (24 oz container). My recipe below (Jump to Recipe) is for the regular size Ninja Creami, but can be adjusted if you have the deluxe with the bigger creami container. I recommend getting the Deluxe for family size, and the regular if you plan to create treats for 2 or less people.

Favorite Creamis

Here are a few recipes using Fairlife milk and Clean Simple Eats protein from the Clean Simple Eats blog: CSE + Creami Recipes. My favorite combo is Fairlife 2% milk + CSE chocolate peanut butter, and a close second is Fairlife 2% milk + CSE coconut cream. I also love a classic chocolate base: CSE chocolate brownie batter + Fairlife chocolate milk, and a classic vanilla base: CSE simply vanilla + the Fairlife 2% milk. Since these are low carb/sugar I sometimes add in dark chocolate chips, or dark chocolate graham crackers from Trader Joe’s as a mix-in for a special treat. (Peep “Going Home with Tyler Cameron” on the tv that I binge watched last weekend, highly recommend… so good!)

Pistachio Protein Creami

Servings 2

Equipment

  • 1 Ninja Creami
  • 1 Instant 4 in 1 Milk Frother & Steamer optional
  • 2 creami containers (16 oz)

Ingredients

  • 16 oz Fairlife Whole Milk
  • 2 scoops Vital Proteins Unflavored Collagen Peptides or 4 Tablespoons
  • 1 package JELL-O Pistachio Zero Sugar Instant Reduced Calorie Pudding & Pie Filling Mix based on a 1 oz package
  • 2-3 T chopped pistachios

Instructions

  • pour milk into frother just below the max fill line
  • add the vital proteins,
  • select cold option for frothing
  • when completely mixed, pour contents into 2 creami containers and add 1/2 Pistachio pudding mix to each container.
  • pour the remaining milk into each of the creami containers until max fill line. (frothing will increase the volume of the mixture, but will eventually settle)
  • Freeze for at least 12 hours.
  • In the meantime, chop up your pistachios!
  • For best results - let frozen creami thaw in refrigerator for no more than 1 hour.
  • Take off the top, pop it into your Ninja creami and spin on lite ice cream setting.
  • Depending on your preference, add more liquid (1-2T milk or water) and spin on re-spin setting. If creami looks "creamy" like frozen yogurt, no need to re-spin.
  • Make a hole in the center and add in your chopped pistachios. Spin on mix-in. Or you can just add nuts as a garnish on top of your creami.

Helpful Hints

The best price I’ve seen on the Deluxe size is at Costco for $179.99 and for the regular size WalMart for $148. The deluxe also has 11 settings compared to 5, so theres that! Clean Simple Eats protein is available to purchase if you live in a city with a Vitamin Shoppe, they carry 6 flavors. Or as a Utah based product, many grocery stores in Utah carry several flavors. There are also seasonal flavors available, I love the pumpkin pie and peaches n cream is on the way and I can’t wait to try it!
